Today was the best day yet in France! This morning we boarded a train to travel out to French wine country, which is absolutely gorgeous and the little town of Epernay is adorable (this is kind of how I was picturing Paris in my head - oh and I love traveling by train!!!)...
I am going to do a vodcast of our tour of the Cellars at Moet & Chandon (stay tuned for that in a few days).
But until then, here is a great pic of the wonderful lunch we had - Loved IT!!! YUM.
Epernay was by far Jeff's and my most favorite place to visit. As it was only about 2 hours from Brussels we went there often. The kids enjoyed touring the champagne houses--our favorite was/is Moet and Channdon. I fell in love with champagne in Epernay. France's inexpensive stuff is far better than anything they import to the US. If you can manage to get your hands on a bottle of Moet Premier Cru-- snag it. They do not import it to the US--only White Star and Nectar--the former being not all that good and the latter being a little too sweet. BTW I was at the school on Mon. and the Lab as we knew and loved it is no more....
ReplyDeletePS We ate at the restaurant that's in your picture (Sardaigne)--I just enlarged it and was pleasantly surprised. Of course we enjoyed amazing champagne with our meal. Your trip is bringing back some wonderful memories. Thanks!
